Regency Park Community Unit was the new name given to the North Adelaide Community Unit after it transferred its operation to Regency Park in 1997. It was run by the Department as a residential care unit. According to the Report of the Children in State Care Inquiry 2004-2008 children as young as eight were sometimes placed in residential care units designed for much older children. Regency Park Community Unit was still operating in 2013.
