The letters relate to applications by the Homes for providing care for Child Migrants and correspondence about subsidies and other funding. The file includes reports on the facilities at the Homes and policies in relation to care and aftercare of children. Some documents include the names of Child Migrants, dates of birth and details of their arrival in South Australia.

This file also contains references to the St Vincent De Paul Orphanage at Goodwood which also accepted migrant children.
