The Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart is an order of the Roman Catholic Church, founded in France in 1874. The first sisters arrived in New South Wales in 1885 to undertake missionary work. Sisters from the order were involved in the running of many Catholic Missions, schools and leprosariums around Australia.The Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart was founded in South Australia in 1947.
