The Mental Health Act Amendment Act 1969 (Act No.17/1969) was passed on 6 March 1969. In reference to the short title, item 1 in the Act states that 'This Act may be cited as the "Mental Health Act Amendment Act, 1968". The full title was 'An Act to amend the Mental Health Act, 1935-1967'.
