The Age of Majority (Reduction) Act 1970-1971 (Act No.15/1971) was passed on 8 April 1971 and commenced 15 April 1971.
Its long title is 'An Act to reduce the age of majority; to confer upon persons who have attained the age of eighteen years the juristic competence and capacity of full age and to confer and impose the attendant rights, privileges, responsibilities and obligations; to make certain consequential amendments to various Acts; and for other purposes'. The Act was amended by Act No.154/1972.
