Doreen Maude Kartinyeri interviewed by Sue Anderson in the Bringing them home oral history project [sound recording] is an oral history interview held by the National Library of Australia. oreen Kartinyeri an Aboriginal consultant and Indigenous separated child, born 1935, Point McLeay speaks about her childhood at Raukkan, S.A. and her removal to the Salvation Army Home, Fullarton at the age of 11. Her younger sister was also removed. She describes the living conditions at the Home and discusses the effect of removal to Colebrook Home on her sister. Kartinyeri also talks about her work with the Aboriginal Family History Unit in the South Australian Museum to trace the family of separated people.
