The library description states: The new hospital buildings are two storey and built from brick with tiled roofs. White pillared verandahs and porticos give a colonial appearance. After much controversy and many delays the Hospital was finally opened early 1933. The car parked in front of the buildings is a Dodge, registered to the South Australian Government Architect-in-Chief's Office.
