St Joseph's Orphanage
The Admission Register is from St Joseph's Orphanage. It is in a black hardcover exercise book. The Register contains handwritten entries under the headings of 'Name of Child', 'Born', 'Parent or Guardian', 'Address', 'Baptised', 'Admitted', 'Discharged', and 'Went to'. Mary White, admitted on 3 May 1879, was the first child in St Joseph's Orphanage. There is a photocopy of the original Admission Register on pink paper.
