The Deceased Prisoners’ Individual Files date from 1918 to 1978. They include the inmate’s description sheets, lists of offences, and sentences, as well as applications and correspondence relating to remissions of sentence. There are also newspaper cuttings and notes about the circumstances of the inmate’s death. These inmates did not necessarily die in prison. Some of these files may relate to children and adolescents.
