The Interim Service for Forgotten Australians was established in June 2009 within the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare. It took over services that had been previously provided by VANISH. Services include assistance with access to records, brokerage counselling, support groups, and lifeskills programs. The Interim Service was replaced in November 2009 by the Support Service for Victoria's Forgotten Australians.
