The 'First Special Report' of the British Parliament into the Welfare of Former British Child Migrants is the British Government's reply to the recommendations made in that 1998 inquiry. 'Special Reports' follow up matters raised in earlier reports and inquiries and this excerpt is from a larger document in the first session of the 2001 parliamentary session.

    The Child Migrants Trust helped many former child migrants access the travel fund and reconnect with their family of origin during the life of this initial scheme. The Child Migrants Trust presently administers the British Government’s £6m Family Restoration Fund for former child migrants to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
