'Hidden Lives Revealed' is a website created by The Children's Society to publish historical information and photographs from Homes run by its predecessors. The website includes information from The Waifs and Strays' Society (1881-1946) and the Church of England Children's Society (1946-1982). Much of the information on this site dates from the period 1881-1918, but there is some information about all Homes run by the Society between 1881 and 1981. The Society sent around 400 children to Australia as child migrants in the twentieth century.
