This article from the Western Mail is typical of newspaper items that were used for fund-raising purposes, to interest people in donating to a Children's Home. The reporter, 'Aunt Mary', praises both the Bindoon Boys' Town institution and her 14 year-old guide for the visit, Robert Taylor. In later years, Robert (Bob) Taylor wrote a book about his experiences at Bindoon. Bob and his wife, Carol, have also been interviewed for the 'Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants oral history project'.
