'Persons under guardianship and children in substitute care, Australia' describes the placement of children in out of home care around the nation in the period 1979-1982. These statistics were part of the national collection of State-based welfare data known as 'WELSTAT'. The WELSTAT tables for Western Australia, 1979, were used to identify Homes that were operating in the State at that time.
