[From the National Library of Australia's 'Bringing them home oral history project']

Hill speaks about her parents and about her removal at around the age of 7 to Sister Kate's Children's Home, Perth. She describes the harsh living conditions at Sister Kate's. At the age of 10, she and her older sister were fostered out and it was in the foster home that she started to draw. She talks about using her art to explore her Aboriginal identity and discusses the context of some of her works.
