[From the National Library of Australia's 'Bringing them home oral history project']
Dann speaks about being removed from his mother at the age of 4 and being placed at Beagle Bay Mission, W.A. He describes the harsh conditions at the Mission, and speaks about reuniting with his family as an adult. Dann and Edwards speak about the long-term effects of removal on their family and their people. Dann now uses his traditional knowledge of the Broome area to find bush tucker and teach his children about their country. He hopes to open an art cultural centre to teach others about the land.
