Catholic Care was established in 1977 as a 'self-help' group of parents whose children had disabilities. It became a provider of accommodation and support services for children with disabilities in Western Australia. In 1981, it became an agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth and in 2001, Catholic Care became known as Identitywa.
