Administration Files - Northern District Office [N.D.G. Sequence] is a records series created by the Northern District Office of the Department of Native Affairs and the Department of Native Welfare (which covered areas such as Wyndham, Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek and Kununurra). This series contains administrative files, including some relating to missions, children's homes, training farms, hostels, foster homes, and child welfare. These records include registers of residents at missions, children's homes and hostels.
The majority of records in this series are restricted in order to protect personal privacy. For access to restricted records please contact the Aboriginal History Research Services. For access to open records please contact the State Records Office of Western Australia.
