This photograph is from an article in the Western Mail which is held on the National Library's website, 'Trove'. It shows some of the newborn babies at Hillcrest, the Salvation Army's maternity hospital in North Fremantle. Many of the babies born to 'unmarried mothers' at Hillcrest were adopted.
