This is an excerpt from the digital copy of the John Moss Report on Child Migration - Implementation of Recommendations from the National Archives of Australia website. It is a letter from the Child Welfare Department in Western Australia. The letter gives a brief summary of the types of health examinations that were planned to be undertaken in institutions receiving child migrants from Britain after World War Two. These institutions were the Anglican Homes (Swan Homes), the Methodist Home for Children, Fairbridge Farm School and the Catholic Episcopal Migration and Welfare Association. An example of the letter sent to all institutions is included in this excerpt from the file.
