The contents of this collection are dated 1965 to 1987. Although Birralee closed as a children's shelter in 1968, the file contains records associated with the administration of the property post the closure.
Birralee as a children's shelter was jointly administered by the then Department of Interior and the New South Wales Welfare Office in Canberra.
