Patrick McAndrew (1942 - ) was born in Scotland and migrated to Australia is 1967. He joined the Northern Territory Police Force, serving at Katherine from 1968 to 1971 and in Darwin from 1971 to 1980. He speaks about general policing and his work with Aboriginal people. While talking about his work in Darwin, Patrick makes reference to Essington House and its use as a Remand Centre. Patrick McAndrew moved to South Australia in 1980 where he worked as a prison guard and later as a parking inspector.
