Access to most items in the file is open, but it is essential to make an appointment to view.
Graceville Photos holds some documents as well as images. Some documents from the file are briefly described below:
This item gives insight into some major alterations, purchases and programs at the Graceville premises from 1898 (when it was the Cornelie Home) to after 1986.
This is an original Report giving an overview of the philosophy, aims, funding and operations of the Graceville Centre for the 1984-1985 year. It also includes a table of admission numbers (1974-1985) and some historical information (p.6) about the Salvation Army's Rescue Home in Summers Street (East Perth) and the Cornelie Home that became Graceville.
This is a pamphlet that outlines the services, routine and guidelines at Byanda, which was part of the Graceville Centre. The pamphlet is dated to the 1980s based on other items in the file which identify the managers of that period.
We do not currently have any records linked to this organisation, but records may exist. The Find & Connect Support Service can help people who lived in orphanages and children's institutions look for their records.
