This act with the full title “An Act to Amend “The Adoption of Children Act of 1935″ in certain particulars” (Act no.5 Geo. VI No.7) sets out procedures for the adoption of children born in Queensland in other states and territories of Australia. In particular it focuses on the communication and sharing of adoption certificates from other states and territories to the Queensland Register-General. The Register-General would then treat the adoption records as if they were from Queensland. This amendment to the Adoption of Children Act 1935 was repealed and replaced by the Adoption of Children Act 1964 (Act no. 54/1964) on the 1st of August 1965.
