Adoption of Children Act Amendment Act 1981, Queensland

This act with the full title “An Act to amend the Adoption of Children Act 1964-1979 in certain particulars” (Act no.42/1981) amends the Adoption of Children Act 1964 and its amendments up to and including 1979. This amendment details requirements in place when an Australian family adopt a child from outside of Australia. These requirements include disclosure of information between the Australia and the other country, the validity of international adoptions, the supervision of internationally adopted children by the Director and the provision of assistance to the adopters or adopted child by the Director. This amendment was repealed by Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No.2) 1994 (Act No.87) on 1 December 1994.
