Description: This is a photograph of a plaque commemorating the opening of the Allanville Home. It reads “Allanville was officially opened on 6th June, 1973 by the Hon. Steve C. Mauger M.L.A. Minister for Youth, Ethnic and Community Affairs. R.C.A Wotton Esq. M.L.A. Member for Burrendong. W.C. Langshaw Director”. This photograph is part of a collection of photographs from children’s Homes and Institutions held by the NSW Department of Community Justice.
