Child Welfare Act Amendment Act 1941, Western Australia

Details

The Child Welfare Act Amendment Act 1941 removed the penalty of whipping from the 1927 Act by repealing s.124 clauses and substituting another which mandated that ‘the fact of such committal or conviction shall not be disclosed to any person, except with the consent of the Minister, or be admitted as evidence in any court of law, except a Children’s Court’.
