This act with the full title “An Act to amend the Commonwealth Powers (Family Law – Children) Act 1990” (Act no.66/2001) was only in law for under a year before being repealed by Acts Interpretation Act 1945 (s.22C) on 26 October 2001. This act extended the reach of the Commonwealth and Family Court of Australia in relation to the custody, guardianship, access, maintenance and parentage of children who are subject to an order under the Child Protection Act 1999.
