These 28 minute books contain discussion relating to the general business of the Destitute Board. Some details about individual cases are given. This Board was responsible for the placement of children before the creation of the State Children’s Council in 1886. Some books from this series are missing: there are no books dated 1857-1869, and 1873-1874.
