The Social Welfare (Amendment) Act 1975 (No. 8701) was an amendment to ‘Part IV of the Social Welfare Act 1970, the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act 1973, the Justices Act 1958, and the Magistrates’ Court Act 1971′ (long title of Act No. 8701). It was passed on 16 May 1975 and commenced in stages from 1 March 1976. The Social Welfare Act 1970 was repealed by the Statute Law Revision (Repeals) Act 1982 (No.9863) on 5 January 1983.
