The name changed in 1994 when the model of care changed from institutional to a community based model. The organisation is run by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. In 2016 the name changed again to InFocus Disability Services. By 2018, the name had reverted to Xavier.

The Xavier Children’s Support Network supports families with children with severe disabilities from the ages of infancy to 18 years.

In 2016 Xavier Children’s Support Network changed its name to InFocus Disability Services, and in 2018 this was changed again to Xavier.
