People wishing to access these records should contact Adoptions and Permanency Services After Care Support Program, which is run by the Department of Communities Tasmania. These case files include correspondence about children and their families in the Northwest of the State. These files appear to be case files held and maintained by the Burnie Office of the Child Welfare Division (later Child, Youth and Family Services Division). They include child protection cases. The files are ordered alphabetically, usually by the name of the child. In some child protection cases there are multiple names on the file or it has the name of the institution or locality
