Agencies for South West Accommodation (ASWA) was new name given to Bunyap Inc. on 13 February 1997.
ASWA was funded through the Youth Supported Accommodation Program (YSAAP) from 1997 to 2009, when it then received funding through the National Affordable Housing Agreement (NAHA). Some young people may have been referred by child welfare authorities, but self-referrals were possible under this funding program. In the early 2000s, ASWA was reported (Signposts, 2004 p.595) as being able to accommodate up to 15 young people in emergency, medium and long term accommodation.
In 2011, ASWA changed its name to Accordwest.
