Neil Morrissey – Care Home Kid
The latest bulletin from the Care Leavers’ Association in the UK has a report about an upcoming BBC documentary, Neil Morrissey – Care Home Kid. The actor who you might know from Men behaving badly or [more likely?] Bob the builder has told the story of his time at the Penkhill Children’s Home in Stafford. Neil and his brother were caught stealing sweets when they were aged 10 and 12, and ended up in the ‘care’ system, separated from their parents and from each other. The documentary will air in the UK on 22 March 2011.
