'Appointment of Woman for Native Welfare' is an article from The West Australian. It gives some background information about the Reverend AJ Sopher and the Australian Aborigines' Evangelical Mission (AAEM), which established Cundeelee in Western Australia in 1949. It also reports on the appointment of Mrs D Bulford to the post of welfare and public relations officer in the Department of Native Affairs. Mrs Bulford was expected to visit institutions holding Aboriginal women or children. Her photograph is included.
