Description
This article from the The West Australian. It reports on the poor conditions experienced by children and others at the Claremont Mental Hospital. It paints a very sad picture of life for children inside Claremont: there was no school teacher (children 'could not be educated'), there were only a 'few special pieces of play equipment', children could 'use the airing court' and those who were 'able' were 'taken for walks by a special attendant'.
