Description
This item from The Perth Gazette and Western Australian Journal. It appears to include a full version of the annual report of the 'Protector of Natives' for the year 1846. It includes a report on the 'native institution' at Galililup (Wanneroo Native School) and the Fremantle Native School. The language in which the report is written is interesting. The Protector writes of 'our' institutions, 'our' efforts, giving a sense of partnership between the government and the institutions. The report is written for the Colonial Secretary.
