Description
This article from the Kalgoorlie Miner. It shows that girls younger than 16 years of age were sent to the Salvation Army's Boulder Rescue Home as an alternative to being sent to an industrial school. As this child was deemed 'incorrigible' and had previously run away from the Boulder Home, she was committed to an industrial school.
