The records of Baptist Church Missions in Central Australia have not been fully sorted or described and not all records related to Central Australia and the Northern Territory have been identified and listed. Some finding aids are available in the Melbourne office of Baptist Mission Australia.

Baptist missionaries were involved with, and resident at, a number of Native Settlements in Central Australia. Records relating to the following settlements may be found in the collection:

  • Yuendumu
  • Warrabri
  • Hooker Creek (Lajamanu)
  • Wave Hill

The collection includes minutes, reports, personal correspondence, publications, some personal papers and photographs of missionary personnel. An extensive photographic collection is held but not fully indexed. Sound recordings of interviews with missionaries, presentations and sermons are held together with promotional and documentary films.
