The first Baptist Church in Queensland was established in 1855. Queensland Baptists (The Baptist Union of Queensland) is a body incorporated under Letters patent on 5 April 1927. Queensland Baptist Care, under the auspices of the Baptist Church, established and ran a number of residential youth care programs in Queensland between 1970 and 1995.
