Client Files (1966 - )

The term client files is used to refer to government files containing information, correspondence and other documents related to an individual such as a child in state care. Prior to 1966 these were referred to as children's files. The Anglican Social Welfare Bureau also used the term client files to refer to files on children and unmarried mothers from the 1940s.
