The Highgate Park Heritage Collection relates to The Home for Incurables and its successors, the Julia Farr Centre, Julia Farr Services and Highgate Park. The collection includes annual reports, financial and administrative records, minutes, press clippings, photographs and memorabilia. The collection has a limited number of patient related records. The date range covered by the records and other material is 1879 to 2020.
Access to the collection is provided via the Department of Human Services, Records Management Division.
The Records held by Highgate Park Heritage Room include:
Annual Reports, Financial and fundraising records, General administrative records, Rules and Regulations, Minute Books, Visitors' Books, Letter books, Nurses records and manuals, Miss Industry Quest records, News clipping books, Photographs, Building plans and a limited number of patient related records.
The Heritage Room also holds museum artefacts such as furniture, crockery, medical equipment, plaques, and other memorabilia. The Room includes a library of books, reports, magazines and journals which relate to the history of the Home.
