The Young Offenders (Publication of Information) Amendment Act 2000 (Act No.33/2000) was passed on 6 July 2000 and commenced 20 August 2000. The Act amends Section 13 of the Young Offenders Act 1993, making provisions for the protection of the identity of a youth in the case of 'documentaries, educational or research projects about juvenile justice matters'.
