Social Welfare Weeroona Inquiry SX19 contains the report of an inquiry made by the Director of the Social Welfare Department, Dennis Daniels, into Weeroona Girls Training Centre in 1978. It followed allegations made by two girls that the Principal had bullied them and that he and his wife, who was the Housemistress, both hit them. Daniels upheld the allegation against the Housemistress but was not able to substantiate the others. This document names the girls involved.

In an email to the Find & Connect web resource project in June 2014, a former staff member noted that:

"After the closure of Weeroona Girls' Training Centre, the superintendent was transferred to head office and retired in 1983 and the housemistress continued to work in the Department in residential and as a child welfare officer for a further 28 years."
