Family Information, Networks and Discovery (FIND) was a unit within the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) that assisted persons who were born or adopted in Victoria to access information and records about their adoption. FIND was formerly known as the Adoption and Family Records Service. FIND also offered the supported release of former ward, child protection or “out of home care” records. Applications for these records in the first instance are made through the Care Leaver Records Service located in the Freedom of Information (FOI) unit of DHHS. In July 2019, FIND became known as Adoption Information Services, within the Department of Justice.
