The Social Welfare (Amendment) Act 1975 (No. 8821) amended the Social Welfare Act 1970. It was passed on 9 December 1975 and commenced in stages from January 1976. The Social Welfare Act 1970 was repealed by Statue Law Revision (Repeals) Act 1982 (No.9863) on 5 January1983.
