The National Security (Overseas Children) Regulations 1940 (No. 202) were gazetted by the Commonwealth Government on 18 September 1940. Their purpose was to 'govern the placement, control and care' of children evacuated from Britain during World War II. The act ceased on 31 December 1950 when it was repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act 1950 (Act No. 80 of 1950).
