STAY Geraldton Records (1991 - )

From
1991

STAY Geraldton Records is a collection of records held by Short Term Accommodation for Youth Inc, Geraldton (STAY Geraldton). The records include admission and assessment documents, case notes and records supplied by young people during their admission or residence (such as medical and educational records). In around 2005, the collection of records was reviewed. The case records of young people who were then over the age of 25 years and who had not been in the care of the department responsible for child welfare, were destroyed. The case records of young people in the care of the department were retained and will never be destroyed. The collection also includes admission books (from 1991) that record the names and admission dates of all young people admitted to STAY. The collection also includes three photograph albums with images celebrating events such as camps.
