Aborigines Act 1911, South Australia


The Aborigines Act 1911 (Act No. 1048/1911) was passed on 7 December 1911. Its full title was: An Act to make provision for the better protection and control of the Aboriginal and Half-Caste Inhabitants of the State of South Australia. The Aborigines Act 1911 established the position of Chief Protector of Aboriginals and a system of regional Protectors. It was repealed by the Aborigines Act 1934 on 1 April 1937.
