Adelaide Walker Home was established by the United Protestant Association of New South Wales in 1951. It was a home for infants and small children, between the ages of two and six years. At the time of opening in November 1951 there were 12 children living at the home, with accommodation for 24 children in total. The Adelaide Walker Home was phased out in 1980 and the property was sold.
Adelaide Walker home was established in a mansion called Dunrobin that was given to the United Protestant Association to mark its tenth anniversary by Mr AE Walker of Manly.
The money from the sale of the Adelaide Walker home was set aside by the United Protestant Association and used to establish family group homes.
